Day 02 - VARANASI / BODHGAYA
Enjoy an early morning Boat Cruise on River Ganges. Later drive to Bodhgaya and check into your hotel. Bodhgaya is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage centres since it was here that Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. Day 03 - BODHGAYA / PATNA
Morning drive to Patna en route visiting Rajgir and Nalanda. During the lifetime of the Lord Buddha, Rajgir was the capital of the powerful Magadhan kingdom. Like many others in search of truth, Prince Siddhartha, after he renounced his royal heritage came to this city to seek the path of vacation. Nalanda was the most renowned university in ancient India. It derived its name from Na-alam-da, meaning Insatiable in Giving, one of the names by which the Lord Buddha was known. Day 04 - PATNA / KUSHINAGAR
Morning drive to Kushinagar en route visiting Vaishali, the capital of one of the first republican states in the world. Lord Buddha came here after five years of Enlightenment at Bodh Gaya. From Vaishali you reach Kushinagar, the place that the Lord Buddha chose for his Mahaparinirvana, or final exit from this earth. Drive on and check into your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Day 05 - KUSHINAGAR / BALRAMPUR
Morning drive to Balrampur en route visiting Saravasti. Saravasti (ancient Savatthi) was host to the Master for 25 years during the annual vassavasa (rain retreat) when the Sangha congregated at one place. Drive on and check into your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06 - BALRAMPUR / LUMBINI
Morning drive to Lumbini en route visiting Kapilavastu, where the Lord spent the first thirty years of his life. Lumbini grove, the sacred site of Lord Buddha's birth is today a small village in Nepal, 27 kms from Sonauli on the Indo-Nepal border. Drive on and check into your hotel. Later tour this town. Day 07 - LUMBINI / KATHMANDU
Morning drive to Kathmandu and check into your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08 - KATHMANDU
Morning is at leisure. Afternoon a half-day tour of Kathmandu City, Pashupatinath and Boudhnath Stupa. Overnight at hotel.
