Bhutan - The land of Thunder Dragon was fairly isolated from the outside world until the 1960s when the third King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck (1952 - 1972) opened links with other countries and initiated the development of a modern economy. His Majesty the late King also introduced many social, legal and constitutional reforms, which have far - reaching effects.

Arrive Paro. On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Morning excursion to Drukgyel Dzong. Afternoon city tour and visit the bazaar. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 03
Drive to Thimpu. Afternoon city tour. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 04
Spend the day in Thimpu visiting the bazaar and monasteries. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 05
Drive to Punakha. On arrival check into hotel/lodge. Visit the Punakha Dzong and the high School. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 06
Drive back to Thimphu. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 07
Morning drive back to Paro. Take a trip to Taktsang view point. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 08
Transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination.
