DAY 01 - ARRIVE DELHI
Proceed for full day sight seeing of Delhi, the capital
of India. Delhi is a major travel gateway to India. The
city consists of two parts namely New Delhi and Old Delhi.
Explore New Delhi visiting the Birla Mandir (Lakshminarayan
Temple) President House, Humayun's Tomb, Qutab Minar and
the India Gate.Explore the Old Delhi visiting, Shahjahanabad's
Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and the Raj Ghat.
DAY
02 - DELHI / JAIPUR (260 kms. 6 hrs)
Leave
for Jaipur also known as Pink City. Exuberance of colour,
dance & songs with the traditional arts and crafts,
one of India's most well planned cities. Enroute visit the
impressive Amber Fort the former capital of the royal family
of Jaipur. A picturesque sight where decorated elephants
(at nominal charges) await you to take you through the winding
ramp to an imposing gateway which open to a courtyard that
provides access to Sawai Jai Singh Palace where you will
visit Kali Temple & the Chamber Of Mirrors . You can
see reflection of Jaigarh Fort in the Amer Lake on a clear
day. Nahargarh Fort which over-looks the city was built
by Sawai Jai
Singh II as a resort to his wives. Later in the afternoon
visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal.Overnight
at hotel.
DAY
03 - JAIPUR / AGRA (265 kms. 6 hrs)
Proceed for Agra.Enroute visit Akbar's deserted ghost city
in red sandstone, 40 kms southwest of Agra - A childless
Akbar had sought the blessings of Saint Salim Chisti in
Sikri and later when Salim (Jehangir) was born , in gratitude
to the saint he constructed his capital city & called
it Fatehpur Sikri. The marble tomb of the sheikh intricately
done in marble lies in the courtyard of Jama Masjid still
visited by thousands to seek blessings.
Buland
Daraza was added by Akbar in front of the tomb.. Other places
inside the palace complex are Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas,
Panch Mahal, Anup Talao, Jodhabai's Palace,Miriam's House
Ankh-Michauli & Pachesi etc. Later the city tpur with
a visit to the incomparable Taj Mahal. This monument is
a fine example of fusion of many architectural styles is
one of the wonders of the modern world. Built in 1652 by
Emperor Shah Jahan. It took 22 years and 20,000 skilled
artisans to complete this poem in white marble. Also visit
the Agra Fort which lies across the river Jamuna. It is
here that Aurangzeb the third son of Shah Jahan kept his
father under house arrest. One can get the
most moving view of the Taj from the little octagonal tower
in the Fort. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 04 - AGRA / DELHI (200 kms.
4hrs)
Depart back for Delhi and drop at hotel / airport.
