DAY - BY - DAY ITINERARY
DAY
01 : DELHI - JAIPUR (262 Kms.)
0430 hrs. - Assemble at College
0500 hrs. - Departure for Jaipur
We
assemble at 0430 hrs. at College campus and depart for Jaipur
at sharp 0500 hrs. to utilize maximum time at Jaipur, also
known as Pink City. Arrive Jaipur & we start sightseeing tour
of Jaipur with visit to Amber Fort, a distinguished example
of 17th Century Rajput architecture. Check-in to your hotel.
After quick fresh up & lunch, visit the majestic Palace, which
houses a rare collection of Indian art, and the colourful
bazaar. Jaipur is noted for its craftsmen, skilled in brass
inlay, lacquer work and stone setting. Most of the buildings
in the old city are made of pink sandstone. One of the most
beautiful is Hawa Mahal, Palace of Winds, where the ladies
of the royal harem used to watch the city from behind the
intricately carved facade. visit the old astronomical observatory
built by the founder of the city Jai Singh. Evening is free
to enjoy both shopping and a cultural experience in the bazaars
of Jaipur. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

02 : JAIPUR - AJMER - PUSHKAR - JODHPUR (343
Kms.)
After
early breakfast, we leave for Ajmer approximately 131 kms.
from Jaipur. Ajmer is considered as a green oasis on the shore
of the Ana Sagar, surrounded by barren hills. Situated at
the foot of a barren hill in the old part of town, this is
one of India's most important places for Hindus besides Muslim
pilgrims. The Dargah is the tomb of a Sufi saint, Khwaja Muin-ud-din
Chisthi. The construction of the shrine was completed by Humayun
and the gate was added by the Nizam of Hyderabad. Thousand
of pilgrims visit it every year on the anniversary of the
Saint's death, the Urs, in the month of May/June. From Ajmer,
we leave for the quiet and tranquil town of Pushkar is situated
right on the edge of the desert and is located on the banks
of beautiful Pushkar Lake. For Hindus, it is an important
pilgrimage centre. Pushkar is also well known for annual camel/Cattle
fair. It is a city of 500 temples and 52 bathing ghats. Lunch
at Pushkar. After lunch depart for Jodhpur. We reach Jodhpur
in late evening. Check in to your hotel. Dinner & overnight
at the hotel.
DAY
03 : JODHPUR - JAISALMER (280
Kms.) 
Jodhpur is the second city of Rajasthan, which sprawls around
the impressive Mehrangarh Fort built on a 122 m sandstone
bluff. The city is encompassed by a high wall, 10 km long
with 8 gates. Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest forts
in India, it is unsurpassed in beauty and grandeur. Innumerable
palaces in the fort, interspersed with sprawling courtyards,
are intricately carved and have evocative names like the Moti
Mahal, the Sukh Mahal and the Phool Mahal. After lunch, we
leave for Jaisalmer. Check in to your hotel at Jaisalmer.
Evening is free to relax. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
DAY
04 : JAISALMER - KHURI (46 Kms.)
Jaisalmer, perched atop the Trikuta Hill, is the westernmost
major city of India located in the state of Rajasthan. Jaisalmer
has an extraordinary medieval
feel, with it's crenellated golden sandstone walls and narrow
streets lined with exquisitely carved buildings. After breakfast,
we do sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer Fort stands
guard over the deserts cape from it's 250 ft high perch on
the hill with it's wall following the contours of the hills.
The steep cobblestone pathways leading to the royal palace
pass through four gates. The sharp twists and turns make the
fort invincible. The fort has 5 interconnected palaces with
`jaali' screens and dainty `jharokhas' - all showpieces of
Jaisalmer artisans' talent. Within the fort are 3 exquisitely
sculptured Jain temples. Patwon-ki-Haveli is the grandest
mansion in Jaisalmer, not to be missed at all. This
5 haveli wonder has it's ceiling supported by exquisitely
carved pillars and it's delicately chiseled balconies are
very impressive. After lunch we cover remaining sightseeing
places of Jaisalmer. In evening we travel to Khuri village,
46 kms. from Jaisalmer. Check-in to your huts, A Resort with
village type facilities, to give a real experience of our
Indian Village to our today's generation. Enjoy Folk Dance
along with your dinner. Overnight in huts.
DAY
05 : KHURI - BIKANER (370 Kms.)
After
breakfast, visit Sand Dunes to capture unforgettable pictures
of the golden sand. One has a opportunity to enjoy camel ride
(at an extra cost). After lunch, leave for Bikaner. The city
of Bikaner stands on a slightly raised ground and is circumscribed
by a long embattled wall having 5 entrance gates. Evening
free, Bikaner is famous for Usta work (camel leatherwear painted
in colours) which includes footwear, purses and cushions.
One can also get local carpets and woodwork. Bikaner is known
for it's painted perfume bottles water-jugs, vases etc. Dinner
& overnight at hotel.
DAY 06 : BIKANER - DELHI
(514 Kms.)
After early breakfast check out from the hotel. Visit Junagarh
Fort. This fort was built by Akbar's contemporary Raja Rai
Singh. Within the fort are 37 palaces, pavilions and temples.
Suraj Pol or the Sun Gate is the main entrance to the fort.
The palaces worth visiting are Chandra Mahal, Phool Mahal
and Karan Mahal. The palaces, exquisitely built in red sandstone
and marble are ornate with mirror work, carvings and paintings.
Lunch on the way to Delhi. Reach Delhi by evening.
