DAY - BY - DAY ITINERARY
DAY
01 : DELHI - MANALI (560 Kms.)
2030 hrs. - Assemble at College
2100 hrs. - Departure for Manali
Overnight drive to Manali
DAY
02 : MANALI
:
Breakfast at on the way. Arrive Manali around 1200 hrs. &
check in to your hotel. Relax and get fresh for lunch. After
lunch visit Hadimba Devi Temple, built in 1550 AD in
a forest grove. The temple is a four storied with a pagoda
shaped roof and a front doorway covered with figures and symbols.
Goddess Hadimba is supposed to be the wife of Bhima in the
epic of Mahabharata. This is one of the major landmark of
Manali. After visit to Hadimba Devi Temple, walk down to Temple
of Manu. Slippery stones paths leads through the old village
house up to the temple. Manali is named after the sage Manu
who is believed to have resided here. Evening free to relax
or one can enjoy on the mall road of Manali. Dinner & overnight
at the hotel.
DAY
03 : MANALI 
After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Manali. Today we trek
down to Arjun Gufa : On the left bank of the Beas,
five kms from Manali near the village of Prini, is the Arjun
Gufa or the cave of Arjuna. One of the heroes of the Mahabharata,
Arjuna is said to have performed penence here. After lunch
visit Tibetan Temple : Tibetans have a base in Manali
too. There is a large modern Tibetan temple to the South of
the bus stand and also a small handicrafts centre. Evening,
one can visit Tibetan Monastery : is new and colorful.
A pleasant place to visit, it is famous for carpet weaving.
Carpets and other Tibetan handicrafts can be bought from here.
Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.
DAY
04 : MANALI
- ROHTANG PASS - MANALI (100
Kms.)
After breakfast visit Rohtang Pass. On the way visit
Vashisht Temple, it is a picturesque little place,
3 km out of Manali. On foot the distance is bit shorter. The
place has a temple to Rama and Vashisht with the sulphur springs
to the right of the path before the village. Rohtang Pass
is situated about 50 km from Manali town, at an altitude of
4,111 mts. on the highway to Keylong, is the Rohtang Pass.
The pass, which provides the only access to the Lahaul
Valley, is open from June to October each year. Snowfall
is, however, unpredictable and blizzards can close the pass
even during this period. When the pass is open, it offers
panoramic views of the mountain. A few km away from the pass
is the Sonapani glacier and, slightly to the left are the
twin peaks of Gaypan - jagged pyramid of rock, snow streaked
and snow crowned. We carry pack lunch today, to spend maximum
time at Rohtang Pass. Evening is free for shopping or relax
at the Resort. Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.
DAY
05 : MANALI - MANIKARAN - KULLU - DELHI (650
Kms.)
After early breakfast we check out from hotel and
drive to Manikaran. At 1737 mts., on the right bank of river
Parvati is Manikaran. This place is famous for hot sulphur
springs revered by both Hindus & Sikhs pilgrimages. The water
of the spring is also said to be radio-active which cures
many skin diseases. According to an ancient saying Manikaran
is also connected with Lord Shiva and his divine concert Goddess
Parvati. Drive back to Kullu for lunch, own arrangements.
One can give a very short visit to Kullu market. From Kullu,
we drive back to Delhi. Dinner on the way.

06 : ARRIVE DELHI
Arrive Delhi early morning.
